I picked up an Eight Ball from a Craigslist add in columbus, Ga. I think I paid $500 for it. The playfield was rough. So I sanded it down, clear-coated it and put on an overlay.  New pop bumpers. I also shotgunned all the electronics and replaced the lamps with Leds.
